solar-citrus:

I’ve been going to anime/comic conventions for eight years, yet I still can’t explain what the significance of conventions are to people without having to go through a 20 minute explanation.  It’s truly a life changing experience, I can tell you that for sure!!  Here’s just a small example, but when I was younger I thought I was the only person on this planet that used Deviantart, until I attended Sakura Con.  I ended up collecting over 50 business cards that had their DA links that year, and I thought that was the just coolest thing to know that I was not alone.  Countless other moments had occurred that year where I met more and more people who knew of and appreciated the same things that I did.  So I hope most of you can relate to that feeling of absolute bliss and joy of attending a con.  uvu
Why do you like conventions?  I’d love to hear your stories!!

The Phantom of the Opera - Beauty and the Beast AU

The Phantom sees a beautiful young woman wandering through his halls, but does not realize she can see him too. Christine sees his face and faints, and the Phantom realizes he must keep her locked away with him so she can not tell the villagers of his hideousness. Given full reign of the castle, Christine explores with a curious mind and comes to be more shocked by the beautiful music that flows through the halls than the cursed rose that haunts the Phantom. The rose’s curse puts a deadline on the Phantom: if all of the rose petals fall before he has learned the meaning of true love, he will die alone. The pair bond over the beauty of music and when the Phantom presents his opera to Christine, she responds with a  grateful kiss. The curse is reversed, but not in the way the Phantom hoped. His deformity lives on, but the petals stop falling as he has learned how to love and be loved in return. And so they lived happily ever after, with the power of music as their loving bond.

Man I feel really bad for the Tumblr Staff because I bet they aimed for Tumblr to be a cool, suavé, photographic place for artists but in reality it’s made up of hormonal teenagers who obsess over gay fictional characters, and can’t even handle the reblog button turning green to teal

IT IS MINT GREEN

I’VE REBLOGGED THIS TWICE BEFORE REALISING THAT THE STAFF SAID THAT!
